Collaborative peer review

Shanghai 1

This session will discuss how the Authorea collaborative platform is used for creating data-driven scholarly content that aims to rethink how researchers, editors, and reviewers interact with documents. Focus will be on how researchers can create documents in full HTML along with relevant datasets, analysis, and interactive figures.

Direct submission is possible to many journals through actively developing a peer review component which enables an editor to manage the review process entirely on this platform. Since the document has been written on Authorea in modern HTML and the content is fully versioned, users are able to streamline much of the information exchanges used for peer review thereby avoiding unnecessary email communications to get things done.
